Some time from when you are reading this, our generations will have died away.
Now think back a moment to the earlier forms of man. They left traces behind whether it be pottery, art, tools, writing etc. Archaeologists in later years discovered these and have led the present generations to learn a lot from the past.
Now fast forward. We are long gone and one with the earth. Our souls have moved onward. The future generations are now the present generations. How will they remember us.
We need to set a footprint in the sand and be able to say this is our footprint. This is how we lived. This is the way we walked. Often times we find ourselves living in the today and almost getting lost in it. I'm not saying live for the future (Take things day by day). I'm saying 'leave your mark while we are alive and kicking.' Years from now when we find ourselves fading away, we will not be able to tell the story the way it is acted out. We must tell the story while we are acting it out.
Someday, someone may come across your story and say 'hey this person had something to say' and could possibly take a lot out of it.
Even if you tell your story to your neighbor or friend tomorrow, it will still be important.
What I'm saying is 'Write it down!'
Write while you still have time because when someone stumbles over it tomorrow or in a hundred years, it will still have meaning and can still leave a deep impact on someone.
God bless

The Hikers Words
As we trek along the mountain pass, we look to the trail behind us. People and objects seem small as they are distant, yet they are still visible to us. The past may be far gone but it's significance leaves a carving in our soul, whittling us to who we are now.
The future is fogged and unable to be viewed, for the mountain extends into the clouds. Our past has prepared us for the dangers hidden within the clouds that may lay siege upon our band of brothers and sisters.
We travel together because as brothers and sisters we grow stronger together, grow wiser together, and live better together.
We know not what awaits at the summit yet we continue onward through the clouds to reach the top where the suns rays will beat down on us and the rhythm of its rays will warm us from the chill.
Reach the summit,
God bless

God Has Got The Answers
I came to a conclusion the other night after talking to a friend about some personal things. I look up to him and fight alongside him as a brother.
My Conclusion:
Only God has all the answers.
It is one thing to believe this, but it is another to understand it. When faced with personal troubles, I looked to my friend for help only to find he couldn't give me an answer ([Friend], if you are reading this I hope you understand).
This is not saying to not bother talking to your friends. Talk to your friends. More heads are better than one. You can't fight by yourself or you will fall.
What I'm trying to say is that not even the wisest man on earth knows all the answers. Yes, it does hurt to be left in darkness or confusion. Just know everything happens for a reason. Everything will work itself out. Only God has the answers and he will answer at the perfect time. His work is truly beautiful and you will find this when everything falls into place. Pray to him for help. Pray that he'll pull you out of the confusion. Know, however, that you may be disappointed. God puts us in these positions so we grow stronger. We must be able to learn to fight the confusion and darkness.
When Jesus was in the garden before his last moments, he did not want was coming for him. I don't think anyone would particularly like crucifixion. He knew what was coming. He did not want it, but he knew, God, his true father had it done that way.
This is just showing us that we may not like Gods answer. When you are faced with these tricky decisions, think to yourself, 'Is this what I want or is this what God wants'
I pray you seek the right answers.
Fight strong and God bless

Get Your Armor On!
I figured I might start this passage with a cheerful story.
Away in a manger, far far away, a young virgin was pregnant with the child of God. There were many furry creatures awaiting the birth of the newborn babe. There were sheep, horses, donkeys, and baby chicks.
Cute right?
Then there was a DRAGON, waiting to devour the child as he entered the world. The heavens opened and there was BATTLE! Swords clashing, flames, explosions, as the heavens opened up releasing angels to fight the beast. The demons of hell crawled out of the darkness to protect the dragon. Both sides fought well, but the heavenly forces triumphed.
I hope that story was heartwarming enough for you.
That would be the book of Revelation. (Not word for word but you get the jist)
So next Christmas when you see the nativity scene set up, remember that there is more than meets the eye.
The point I'm getting to is that there are evil forces at work. The battle of good and evil goes on to this day and we are all warriors. Yea, Jesus is nice, but he is a warrior, a warrior drenched in blood riding into battle, a risk taker, and adventurer.
You need to be aware of the evil forces around you. The enemy knows what you think, he knows your past, and he is more powerful than you think. When you fight temptation, he screams in agony.
However, marching into battle without a sword or armor, you'll probably get a serious beating. Everyday, pray to God to help you see the enemy's attacks. Ask him for the proper armor to shield you from the blows. Most of all, ask for the sword, the proper tools to fight the good fight. He will help you, he will stand behind you, and he will pick you up when you fall. You must know that he will not fight your fight. Your fight is yours to fight. Do not give into temptation. Through practice you will become a great warrior.
So you have a weapon and armor but don't march into battle quite yet. The odds will be against you. Rally the forces! Gather people to help you fight. No, not a support group, not someone to keep you in line, but someone who will fight alongside you in battle. A hesitant warrior will not survive. He must decide to kill or be killed. This doesn't mean to leave others behind in the dust. Grab em', train them, and put a sword in their hand. I hope you get the idea.
What I'm getting to is that there is evil all around you. The forces of good and evil are in an invisible battle that takes place every day. Be aware of the enemy, ask God to protect you, gather your forces, and CHARGE!
Aye, fight and you may die. Run, and you'll live... at least a while. And dying in your beds, many years from now, would you be willin' to trade ALL the days, from this day to that, for one chance, just one chance, to come back here and tell our enemies that they may take our lives, but they'll never take... OUR FREEDOM!
